I agree with those of you who don't like the chase, and the fact that Jeff had to give up a 300 plus lead... we can thank Matt Kenseth for this.... Nascar didn't like one driver running away with the series.. HOWEVER. the Busch series is doing JUST THAT..

I have said over and over that the last 10 races doesn't really tell who the Champion is.. Winning races doesn't prove anything ( except in Nascar's eyes).. You just have to watch the interviews from the last couple of weeks to see the pressure thats put on these teams and drivers... Jr is a good example of that, he gave his all ..

Those of us who have been Jeff fans for a long time, know in our hearts that the History books are going to show what an Awesome race car driver he really is... but Nascar again doesn't care about facts.... they just want to keep messing with the points system and making fans angry.......

Changing the # of drivers from 10 to 12 this season STILL didn't get Jr in the chase but Nascar has their own agenda, and nothing we the fans say or do is going to change that.....

Jeff drove his heart out last night, and he and the 24 team will continue to do that.. I believe I heard the announcers say that Jeff and Jimmie were driving the same set up and that Jimmie had gotten Jeff's.. ??????..... ( I may have that backwards). Jeff has been awesome this season, but all these drivers know that points don't mean anything, Jeff has said this the last couple of weeks... its all about the WINS.

The Nascar of old was a SPORT.. my theory is if you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen... WHY does Nascar feel they have to make all the cars equal... ( anyone notice how long it took some cars to get through inspection on Friday JUST to qualify.????? That should tell us something..... the Sport should be who ever is the best should win.. if the others can't keep up then to bad.

All Nascar did was fix something that WASN'T broken, now they have the teams and drivers so screwed down so tight, they can hardly breathe without wondering if a penalty is forth coming.!!!!!!!! GRRRRRR.

Nascar really doesn't care about anything but their pocket books.. and if they keep bringing cocky Formula 1 Drivers over to replace 'OUR' Drivers which is just WRONG.... Nascar doesn't know their fan base very well.. DUH YA THINK.!!!!

This isn't going to improve the sport at all.. Montoya is NOT LIKED at all, he hasn't earned the respect of the drivers OR the fans... and its just going to get worse when more of the F1 drivers appear.... Nascar has dug themselves into a hole they can't possibly get out of with any dignity...

Having said all the above... just remember we root for the best, I don't see any driver ( Jimmie included) that will ever have the career or the class or the polish that Jeff has...

Jeff WILL give his teammates a run for their money, and believe me the last 10 races Jeff and Steve will do everything in their power to get # 5 for Jeff.. The fans are disheartened by it all, and the boards show that, either by the posts or lack there of..

Jeff and Steve and team 24 are the best at making lemonade out of lemons, and I don't expect them to give up now. they have just as much chance at the championship as anybody.. so HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH.. Jeff is and ALWAYS will be the Champion in his fans eyes..
