For me, it all started in 2000 at MIS when I decided to check out what life was like in the pits. I went with a friend of mine, Bob Jessen, he suggested I might be able to help out on a team.

Turns out he was right I fell right into the job of catch can man for Rick Sheppard at MIS. I was literally just standing there and a pit crew member said "Hey you, you're the catch can man." I almost fell down, I couldn't believe it! Then he said "Get ready we're coming in on the next lap!" Uh-OK... I was in awe when I jumped the wall and heard the crowd. INCREDIBLE! 5,4,3,2,1 the car comes in, in goes the rod and the valve is open in the fuel filler tube. The gas man and I spilled some fuel, WHOOPS, but remember , it was my first time ever as catch can man. We all gave Rick a push off and I almost ended up on MY rear end.

I also had the pleasure and thrill of helping Rick Sheppard again at Toledo Speedway.

I wasn't able to help out anyone again until 2003 when I met up with Brad Smith, the #26 ARCA car, at the Toledo Speedway. My friend Justin and I offered to push Brad's into the pits. When I got to talking about my previous experience as catch can man, I fell into another catch can position with the 26 car. And to this day I am still a member of Brad's team and loving every minute of it! The whole #26 team, Brad and his entire family are great to work with.

I am very excited about the upcoming 2008 season...
