Bristol!

Here it goes, in no particular order. Let's hope we get one right...

Heather:

I was brave and predicted the top 5 last week - I got all of them right except for the first 4. HA!HA! I picked Ryan Newman to finish 5th at Darlington and I was right; he did finish 5th. But my other top 4 were completely wrong.

So, I'm going to try again this week and predict the finishing order of the top 5 (that way, I'll have a better chance of getting at least one of them right). And those 5 are:

1. Jeff Gordon

2. Rusty Wallace

3. Sterling Marlin

4. Elliott Sadler

5. Jimmie Johnson

Those are my picks and I'm stickin' to 'em!

Bethann:

The key to Bristol is to miss the wrecks. Everything happens fast and furious at this track. When you think of Bristol you have to factor in Rusty Wallace, he leads all current drivers with wins at this track with (9). Gordon is next with (4) wins. So I will pick One of the two...which one...which one? I will pick Rusty Wallace, he seems to be getting things together, needs to work on the qualifying package though.

Others that could get up there and fight for the win are: Jeff Gordon, Last years race winner Elliot Sadler has been on a hot streak lately so I wouldn't count him out, Dale Jr. (love this dude), and Tony Stewart if he is healthy. Thats all folks! Take care and enjoy the wrecks, I mean the race this weekend everyone.

Arnie:

Bristol was built for Rusty Wallace.

Rusty wins!!!

Mark Martin-2nd

Kurt Bush-3rd

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Arnie

Charlotte:

Charlotte did not send in her pick, but I am betting it is:

Dale Jr.

Danny Z:

This week everyone can quit whining about aero this and aero that and unfair advantages and just go racing. Cause this week is Bristol and the name of the game is survival. This place is where we really miss Dale. Watching him put a six foot car through a five foot hole without hitting anything was classic stuff.

The wild racing and constant crashes make it hard to pick a clear favorite, but I'll go with a young gun trifecta this week;

1: Ryan Newman

2; Dale Jr.

3; Ricky Craven

Happy Racin'

Danny Zeeff

Don:

Who will win at Bristol? I haven't a clue. With the new pit road rule we have a whole new ball game. There are several likely winners but there is no guarantee they won't get taken out when lapping starts. What I do know is this is going to be the first real test of our amazing rookies. Can Newman or Johnson run Bristol with the veterans? One of them could very well surprise us.

The likely winners, in no particular order, are Tony Stewart, Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Ward Burton and, returning to victory lane after a too long absence, Terry Labonte.

I don't look to see Elliott Sadler to repeat nor Sterling's Dodge to be as big a factor. Rusty Wallace is a favorite at Bristol but there seems to be a missing ingredient in that team right now. A long shot winner who could surprise us all is Stacy Compton. I also think we could see a resurgence of the Childress cars of Harvick and Green. Robby Gordon???

These are my gutless and totally clueless predictions. Ask me Monday morning and I'll have a better handle on who wins Bristol.

(Editor's note: Its hard to go wrong if you pick half the field, nice going Don!!)

Rob:

When you think Bristol, you have to think Rusty and even Terry. Steve Park is still hungry to prove he is back, and Mr. Gordon needs to shake his streak of races without a top 5. But, I feel the winner will be:

Tony Stewart

Despite his soreness from that terrible wreck last week, it's all Tony. Poll position and the win.

I feel it. I really do!

Lisa:

My prediction this week comes from the same source as last week, the number printed on the lumber for our new porch. It just happens to be the mill number where my husband works, number 772. I will go with the last part of it and Rusty in the 2. This is a tough track, but I will go with Rusty Wallace.

LAST WEEK"S WINNER- Tom Johnson!!:

Here we go at Bristol, the track at which all the body shop workers definately earn their paychecks. Darlington gave most of the teams plenty of body work, but hang on people because as you know it gets worse at Bristol.

The #24 Dupont with Jeff at the helm gets the checkered flag from me, followed by veteran short tracker Rusty in the #2 Miller Lite. The #40 Coors Light with Sterlin having a great start earns the 3rd position, besides that I love a nice cold Coors Light. The #1 Penzoil gets 4th, but if Steve has a good car I hope he shows a little more patience this time. To round off the top 5 I will go with the #21 Motorcraft and Elliott Sadler who seems to have Bristol figured out.

The #88 UPS and Jarrett misses my line up due to the engine failures as of late. Sorry Dale, but maybe you should think about driving that Big Brown Truck.

Thanks and Goodluck

Tom Johnson
