Coca-Cola Racing Family 600
Here it goes, in no particular order...
Heather:
I think I'm going to follow Charlotte's lead and start riding on a driver's train. It seems to be working for her; maybe it will help me too. I'm hopping aboard Jeff Gordon's train. He's got to win sooner or later. But if he doesn't, hopefully he'll at least have good finishes to help me move up in the points! So my pick is Jeff Gordon.
SideWays:
Me and the boys at the shop agree who ain't gonna win, Robby Gordon. Not that he doesn't have the talent , it's just too much to ask to keep one's concentration level at peak for 1100 miles! Besides you need to consistently finish events of shorter duration. Something this team hasn't done and switching crews ain't gonna' help either.
With that said and much more I ain't gonna' put to print, we finally agree. We saw something come on really fast in the Winston, something that just has this track...well maybe they have...heck if he can miss the wrecks it's "Lil E".
Lisa:
Even though we are done moving, I still haven't found my crystal
bowl to pick from. I don't think the rookies will do quite as well
over 600 laps as they did in the Winston, and of course this race
will be the ultimate test of the One Engine Rule. I'm going to pick
Matt Kennseth, followed by Dale Jr, and Ricky Rudd. Just because
his name just popped into my head.
Bethann:
The Coca Cola Racing Family 600 is upon us.....and its time for the
staff to pick the winner. I picked Dale Jr to win The Winston,
and he came darn close. I think I will stay with that pick to win
the 600.
So my pick to win is: Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I think Jeff
Gordon
may win the thing, but I am only allowed one pick....also I think
Matt Kenseth and Ryan Newman are strong contenders for a
good finish.
With this being the longest race of the year, it will be interesting
to see if the engines hold up. Good luck to Robby Gordon on his
Double Duty weekend, Hope you do well!!! Lets hope Kurt Busch doesn't
use Robby for a Caution this weekend!!! Wouldn't it be
funny if Robby qualified right behind Kurt Busch? It is sure to be
exciting!!!! Enjoy the races everyone!
Don:
My 600 predictions:
1. Tony Stewart
2. Dale, Jr.
3. Jimmie Johnson
4. Jeff Gordon
5. Matt Kenseth
Ryan Newman would be a good pick but I expect to see him in the wall
along with Kurt Busch.
Don
Danny Z:
Bill Elliot wins, Ricky Craven second.
Lets hope for a safe race and a speedy recovery for Tina and Jeff.
Rob:
Newman came through for me in the Winston and I think he is the man to beat again this week.
Newman is not afraid to sink it in the corners deep and I feel that the only one that can beat him is he himself. Plus he has 1,000,000 rea$on$ to win!!
Look for Bobby Labonte to be a close 2nd and Jeff Gordon 3rd.
Alison:
After attending the Winston and seeing just how fast Mark Martin is, before his engine belw up, he is my number one pick.
He will be followed by Junior and (being a die hard Mikey fan) Waltrip!
Arnie:
Tony Stewart
will win
Look for Roush teams to be strong especially Jeff Burton, 2nd
Little "E" a distant 3rd
Charlotte:
Still riding the Junior train
LAST WEEK"S WINNER- Harmony and Brad Martell:
Since They didn't get in by the deadline, we will let Jimmy (a.k.a The Handyman) join us this week since he missed his deadline a couple weeks back.
Winner- 17
I think this will be a Roush weekend with the 99 finishing 2nd, but do leave out the others.
8 finishing 3rd, 20 finishing 4th, 6 finishing 5th, because they will be tough to deal with
Happy racing ?
The Handyman good luck..?
