Richmond
Here it goes, in no particular order...
Bethann:
Richmond is GREAT track, one of my favorites, and most of the teams
enjoy racing at this track as well. AND to make it
even better, we get to see it under the lights this Saturday. I love
races under the lights!!
Ok now for my pick: I think I am going to go with: Tony Stewart,
he seems to do well here, and is a two time winner at
this track. Other possible winners could be Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ricky
Rudd, Kevin Harvick. Well folks, those are my picks and
I'm stickin' to em'! Hope you all enjoy the racing Friday and Saturday!!
Lets all hope for safe and competitive races.
Danny Z:
(Editor's Note:)
Danny is on vacation and sent me his Richmond picks last week. I lost them.
I think he had Rusty Wallace winning. Sorry Danny!!!
Heather:
This week we're back to good old Saturday night short track racing! The best kind there is! I know my pick for last week (Jeff Gordon) didn't come close to winning - as a driver anyway - I'm going to pick him again this week. He always runs good at Richmond, and boy is he due. He's got to get a win sooner than later (hopefully this weekend at Richmond so I can move up in the points standings too!).
I think Tony Stewart will also be strong and bounce back from a terrible finish in California. But in the end, I think Jeff Gordon will hold him off and finally make his first trip [since winning at Kansas last year] to Victory Lane in 2002.
Rob:
Rusty, JR, Tony, Gordon, or Marlin. That is the question. Judging by how JR ran at Martinsville and the fact that he has won there before, I am going with Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr.
SideWays:
Well lets see this is a hard one….hummmm.. There seems to be a lot of stiff competition… we just can't seem to come up with a firm answer. Maybe our thinking is to rigid…OK we have it! Lets go with the 'Batesville Bomber' Mark Martin.
Don:
While I am sure that many prognisticators will pick Rusty Wallace to win at Richmond but I have to go against that rising tide and predict:
1. Tony Stewart
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Johnny Benson
4. Rusty Wallace
5. Ken Schrader
Tony won the race last year and seems to have a strong handle on the track. Jeff Gordon is a good bet to upset my prediction for a winner. Johnny Benson and Ken Schrader haven't had any luck and are overdue for a good finish. Rusty will be strong but not strong enough to win. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.
Don
Lisa:
Lisa is in the process of moving and didn't make the deadline, so we will give her last week's pick again.
Rusty Wallace.
Arnie:
Mark Martin wins
Kurt Bush 2nd
Rusty Wallace 3rd
Charlotte:
Still riding the Junior train
LAST WEEK"S WINNER- Jimmy (The Handyman):
Jimmy is a no show. If he shows, we'll add him, otherwise.... we'll leave this slot open this week.
