Viva Las Vegas!!

Here it goes, in no particular order:

Lisa:

The lovely lady luck plays a big part in Las Vegas, so I'm going to pick two drivers who have had rotten luck so far this year. Sterling Marlin has been bitten by the red flag nonrule twice now, and it possibly cost him at least one win. Dale Earnhardt, Jr has had more tire problems in two weeks than I have had in a lifetime, and I'm older than he is. I'll have to put Sterling as my first choice because I saw a Coors truck before a Bud truck this morning.

Don:

Once again, I am going out on a limb and picking Robby Gordon to win at Vegas. As a No Bull Five race it could get interesting. I hope and pray it isn't another boring, follow the leader race.

While I pick Robby to win I fear the cars we'll have to watch will be Jeff Burton, Dale Jarrett, Ricky Rudd and possibly Sterling Marlin. I wouldn't count out Matt Kenseth. Dale, Jr. is in the No Bull Five as is Tony Stewart, Matt, Jeff Burton and Bobby Hamilton. I don't think Vegas suits Jr's. style and Tony the Tiger is hungry.

Charlotte:

I think we might see an old timer win this weekend. I'm going with Rusty Wallace or Dale Jarrett. But, you know, I always WANT Junior to win.

Bethann:

Lets See.....I am going to pick Jeff Burton. Roush Racing has had wonderful luck at this track. So if Jeff Burton don't win it I will go with one of his other Roush teamates.

Other Possible winners: Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Jeff Gordon

Those are my picks and I'm sticking to em. I eventually have to pick one winner right don't I?

Thanks,
Bethann

Danny Z:

Coming in second in the local fantasy league doesn't cut it when I strike out INSIDE THE PITBOX. The Dodges are really impressive so far and I have to stick with them, but I'm going with the one who has stayed reletively obscure. This week Awesome Bill will let it hang out and Sterling will have to settle for second. My trifecta: Bill Elliott, Sterling Marlin, and Kenny Somebody.

Rob:

Once again the ITPB staff has fallen flat. Fortunately for us, there are many races left and one of us has got to get one right before it is over.

I think that Vegas with its relatively flat corners is going to require a driver with finesse and patience. When I think of that I think of Jeff Burton and Tony Stewart. Jeff dominates tracks like Phoenix and Loudon which are flat as they get. Tony rocks at Homestead and also Phoenix and for that matter Loudon.

The surprise name I am going to throw in is Mikey Waltrip. Mikey ran great at Homestead last fall and I think he is due for a good top 3 finish.

So, its Burton, Tony and Mikey.

LAST WEEK"S WINNER- KEVIN HAFNER!!:

Unforunately, Kevin didn't get us a prediction prior to press time. So, we have a special guest, Heather N. Tygrett

Heather:

My crystal ball is telling me that it's going to be a "Roush" weekend. I think all of his teams will have a good finish on Sunday, and one might possibly win. Matt Kenseth is coming off an emotional high after winning Rockingham and his team has great momentum. Kurt Busch will have "home field advantage" at Vegas, and has been running very well lately. Jeff Burton and Mark Martin are a bit "iffy" at times, but I see them running in the top ten at Vegas.

Another person I wouldn't be surprised to see end up in the Winner's Circle is Sterling Marlin. He has been very strong the past couple of races, and you can definitely tell his team is strong and dedicated to be champions this year. Look for them to have a top ten finish. But keep in mind that there are also 5 "No Bull" drivers that will be going all out, and doing whatever they can to get that million-dollar bonus. It will definitely be an exciting race! I can't wait! Viva Las Vegas!

Summary:

Sterling Marlin seems to be the popular choice this week, as well as the Roush boys. Keep in mind that Kurt Busch has been running good and Vegas is his home track.
