POCONO RACEWAY, LONG POND, PA - Roush Fenway Racing development driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. survived a late-race restart and a hard-charging Scott Speed on the last lap to capture the win in Saturday's Pocono 200 at Pocono Raceway. The win is Stenhouse Jr.'s second of the year, making him the first two-time winner of the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series season.
Scott Speed and Justin Allgaier were the class of the field all day, but both encountered issues late in the race that caused them a chance at the win. Allgaier lost 1st, 2nd, & 4th gear severely hindering his speed on the frontstretch in the closing laps, but amazingly was able to hang on and finish the race 5th. Scott Speed suffered two cut tires during the race, the second coming with just 15 laps to go. With 7 laps remaining, Speed was 25th, but came roaring through the field to get within 4 or 5 carlengths of Stenhouse Jr. in the closing laps to finish the race 2nd.

A late race caution involving Kory Rabenold and Ali Owens with 4 laps to go forced the race into overtime to accomodate a green-white-checkered finish. When the green flag flew for the restart, Justin Lofton went to the inside of Stenhouse Jr. as Robb Brent drove to the outside. Scott Speed then slid below Lofton as they raced into turn 1. As Stenhouse pulled ahead going into the turn, Speed made contact with Lofton who slid down the track and into the grass. The race stayed green and Stenhouse stretched out his lead to capture the Pocono ARCA 200 win.
