Music is a universal language that brings people together.  Music doesn't discriminate, it is something that allows people to escape the daily grind of life and go someplace else. Racing does the same thing. Fans from all walks of life converge at the track each weekend. Where a person is at on society's ladder is of little importance. On race weekend, we are all the same.

Most race weekends fans are able to enjoy various bands that frequent the track. During the pre-race typically a well known act will perform for the masses as they file into their seats before the green flag drops. But if fans only wait to see the who's who of the entertainment world, then they are missing out.

Several times a year a great band called Thunder will be on hand at various tracks putting on free concerts for fans who camp near the track. They are a down home band who plays a mix of gospel, country, and southern rock. Over the course of a weekend you will hear anything from Train Train to I'll Fly Away and everything in between.  The unique blend of lead vocals showcases  the talent of this band and their ability to connect with fans.

For the guys of Thunder, music is life, music is their tool to spread the word of GOD. Many times they have been criticized for simply playing great music. They are men who serve the Lord,  play music and use their talents to connect with people and share their belief.  Some might be hesitant to attend one of their concerts at the track for fear of being preached to. A song is a sermon in itself, no matter who delivers the message. Music feeds the soul whether a person is lost or found.

What you see is what you get with this band. Judgement is not something you will get listening to one of their shows or talking with them. Music is meant to bring folks together and Thunder uses great music to do so. If you want more information about the band, you can check out their myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/thebandthunder  or at a race track near you.
