Pocono has been host to some pretty exciting races for the ARCA RE/MAX Series, and the upcoming race should be no different. The addition of Joey Logano to the entry list is sure to add a little something to the show for the fans to see.
Drivers to Watch
Frank Kimmel
Kimmel is a multiple-time winner at Pocono and has countless top 5 finishes. He’s one driver thatt you never want to count out at this track.
Justin Lofton
Justin heads into the race as the points leader, and has had some solid performances at Pocono in the past. Look for Lofton to be towards the front of the pack in the final laps.
Joey Logano
Pocono’s called the tricky triangle for a reason, it’s not the easiest place to figure out for those with little experience there. Any seat time that Logano can get at Pocono is sure to help him, and the Venturini team will certainly put a car underneath him that is capable of the win.
With the race still being a few weeks out, the entry list may yield further surprises.
Justin Lofton heads into Pocono as the points leader, ahead of 2nd place Parker Kligerman & 3rd place Frank Kimmel. Rookie contender Kligerman might be at a disadvantage heading into Pocono due to Lofton and Kimmel’s experience there, but he is 2nd in points, you don’t exactly get there without some pretty spectacular talent. Plus Kligerman is coming into this race as the Toledo winner, nothing gets the competitive juices flowing like a win.
Pole qualifying is scheduled for Friday, June 5th at 1:45 PM. The Pocono ARCA 200 will take the green flag on Saturday, June 6th at 1:00pm.
