Friday Qualifying Rained Out at Pocono
It wouldn't be Pocono without some of weather event. Rain once again put a halt to things as it did in June, causing the track to cancel pole qualifying for the ARCA RE/MAX Series as well as Sprint Cup.
It's Number 50 for the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Pocono
This past weekend marked the 50th time the ARCA RE/MAX Series has raced at Pocono Raceway. Many current/past NASCAR drivers are past ARCA Winners at Pocono including; Mike Wallace, Kerry Earnhardt, Casey Mears, Casey Atwood, Ryan Newman, Scott Riggs, & Travis Kvapil.

Lofton Wins Again
Eddie Sharp Racing's Justin Lofton drove his No. 6 Lofton Cattle Toyota to the front of the pack and never looked back capturing his 2nd consecutive win and third of the season.

Parker Kligerman was Lofton's biggest threat throughout the event, but late race contact with Steve Arpin left Kligerman with a 21st place finish. Kligerman was in 2nd place gaining on Lofton when Arpin tagged him coming off of turn 3 setting the field up for a green-white-checkered finish.
That green-white-checkered allowed Matt Merrel to close to within a car length of Lofton, but he wasn't able to find a way around the #6 Toyota and had to settle for a 2nd place finish. Craig Goess finished a career-best 3rd ahead of Steve Arpin who survived late race contact with Kligerman to continue on for a top 5. Finishing the race 5th was Frank Kimmel in his #44 Ansell-Menards Ford.
Rounding out the top 10 was Tom Hessert in 6th, Robb Brent, 7th, Justin Marks 8th, Bobby Gerhart 9th, and Kyle Martel 10th.
Springfield Next for ARCA RE/MAX Series
Next up on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule is the Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds dirt-mile on Sunday, August 23rd.
